Let’s go fly a kite…

Easter was mostly spent recovering from the aforementioned burlesque show. I had a light, all-you-can-eat brunch buffet and then picked up Lou and went to fly kites with Mom and her boyfriend Tim Arness.
Almost every time I go to mom’s for dinner, kites find their way into conversation so I figured it was about time to try them out. As I’ve discovered, these aren’t ordinary everyday kites, these are Tim’s handmade Nasawing Powerkites capable of lifting you off the ground or yarding you across a parking lot in very minimal winds.
We flew the three meter storm kite with two people tied to it. The storm kite has a bunch of holes cut in it so it doesn’t fully catch the wind. I can’t wait to hitch myself up to the eight meter kite and see where I end up.
